And now you have a unique chance to get to know more about the artist and the NFT.

NFT STARS: How would you describe your attitude towards Howard Bloom?

HBI: Howard is a dear friend on the personal level but outside of that I regard him as one of the most intelligent people to ever walk the face of this planet. Every conversation with Howard is a learning experience and you can truly feel his wealth of knowledge about all topics in the universe just oozing out of him. I have a lot of admiration for him and a bit of jealousy of all the incredible experiences and adventures he’s had throughout his life.

NFT STARS: What are the future plans and strategic goals for the Howard Bloom Institute?

HBI: The mission of the Howard Bloom Institute is to upgrade, uplift, and empower humanity. HBI aims to accomplish this through the promotion of the work and ideas of Howard Bloom. Ideas that offer a new perceptual lens through which to see everything inside you and everything around you in whole new ways. The two projects we have underway in this respect are creating a university-level course for Omnology and a media campaign to promote and preserve Western democratic values.

NFT STARS: What are your favorite works/ideas of Howard Bloom?

HBI: All of Howard’s books are tremendous but my personal favorite is his latest, Einstein, Michael Jackson, & Me. In terms of ideas, Howard has too many to name but I will say the concept of Omnology is what spoke to me the most. All of our lives we’ve been taught to break things down into their component parts and keep looking beneath to find truth. Omnology adds a new dynamic to this search by shifting the gaze upward and trying to identify the macro patterns in all the activities around the universe. Howard has a way to upending how you look at the world.

NFT STARS: Why did you choose REO Speedwagon to be the subject of the artwork?

HBI: Howard worked with many incredible artists during his tenure in music but REO was different because they were already fairly well established when they started working with Howard. This demanded a different type of relationship with Howard helping them continue their success instead of trying to make them into stars. This story is captured in the NFT and its relevance made it an easy choice to use them for the NFT.

NFT STARS: Do you enjoy REO Speedwagon’s music?

HBI: Yes! Can’t Fight This Feeling has been one of my favorite tracks for a long time. In my mind they are the kings of soft rock and honestly helped introduce me to an era and genre of music that I may not have done otherwise.

NFT STARS: What do you think the prospects of the NFT industry are?

HBI: I think the NFT industry, as with any sector of the crypto space, has incredible potential and will change the way we look at ownership forever on. It is hard to say with any specificity which projects and applications of NFTs will succeed in the long term but the more important part is that the technology is here to stay. I think in the next few years we’ll see NFTs becoming ingrained into a lot of areas of our everyday lives that we may not even fathom at the moment.

NFT STARS: What would be your advice to artists who are afraid to tap into the NFT sector?

HBI: I would suggest to never limit yourself. NFTs don’t have to be a be-all, end-all but they should at least be an option. Getting familiar with the space isn’t hard and there’s very little risk in at least doing some small projects to test the waters. New changes bring anxiety in any area of life, but those who succeed are the ones that find opportunity in change.
